Configuring Form Validation Settings

You can create and configure three different form types of the Metadata Manager:

  • Table Properties: The form would be applicable to the Table Properties tab of a table.
  • Column Properties: The form would be applicable to the Column Properties tab of a column.
  • Environment Properties: The form would be applicable to the Environment Properties tab of an environment.

To create forms, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Application Menu > Miscellaneous > Settings > Miscellaneous > Form Validation Settings.
  2. The following page appears.

  3. Click .
  4. The Add Form page appears.

  5. Enter appropriate values in the fields. Fields marked with a red asterisk are mandatory. Refer to the following table for field descriptions.

    Description

    Form Name

    Specifies the unique name of the form.

    For example, Adventureworks Metadata.

    Description

    Specifies the description about the form.

    For example: The form is to validate metadata in the Adventureworks environment.

    Form Type

    Specifies the type of the form.

    For example, Table Properties - Metadata Manager.

  7. Click Save & Exit.
  8. The form is created and saved in the form list.
